About Euro-NGI Network of Excellence
"The main mission of the Euro-NGI network is to create and maintain the most prominent European center of excellence in Next Generation Internet Design and engineering, acting as a "Collective Intelligence Think Tank," representing a major support for the European Information Society industry and leading toward a European leadership in this domain."

Workshop on "Wireless and Mobility"
This is the Third Workshop on "Wireless and Mobility" organized inside the Euro-NGI Network of Excellence (WP IA.8.3).
The Workshop is organized by CompNet Research Group from Technical University of Catalonia .
The previous editions of the Workshop where organized by Aachen University in Dagstuhl (Germany) and by Politechnico di Milano in Lago di Como (Italy) .
The workshop intends to bring together leading researchers from the Network of Excellence in "Wireless and Mobility" in order to identify the fundamental challenges and future perspective of this important area. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

QoS in Mobile and Wireless Networks
Wireless Ad hoc Networks
Wireless LANs
Sensor Networks
Radio Resource Management
Mobile Applications
Mobile IP
Mobile Cellular Systems
3G/4G Wireless Technologies
Capacity planning

Venue
The Workshop will take place at San Sebastian Playa Hotel. This Hotel is located in front of San Sebastian beach, Sitges. Sitges is a touristic village of about 21.000 inhabitants. The village is located at the meridional border of the Garraf hills, 35 km South from Barcelona.

Proceedings
The extended abstracts submitted to the workshop were distributed to the participants and can be found in the EURO-NGI deliverable WP-IA-8.3.7.
Authors are invited to send a full paper for publication as an LNCS, after a reviewing process. The process will be the following:

Submit the paper via email to Llorenç Cerdà llorencac.upc.edu by September the 15th, 2006 in pdf format. Use any A4, double space formatting, but keep in mind that camera ready of accepted papers must be sent following LNCS authors instructions. The preferred maximum paper length for the camera ready is of 16 pages in the LNCS format.
Submitted papers will be reviewed by experts, and authors will receive feedback with comments and acceptance notification by October the 30th, 2006.
Authors must revise their manuscripts according to reviewers comments and send camera ready files and scanned copyright forms to Llorenç Cerdà llorencac.upc.edu by November the 30th, 2006.

How to participate

Send an email informing of your willingness to attend to Llorenç Cerdà llorencac.upc.edu as soon as you know.
In your mail indicate:
- Partner Number and Name.
- Contact Person, and other participants.
- If applicable, which participants will present a paper, the title, authors and short abstract.
This will help to make a participation estimate. This page will be updated with this information.
Do the Hotel reservation.
We have blocked 30 rooms in the Workshop Hotel for the venue. The price is 135 euro + 7% tax, breakfast included (this may change slightly). These rooms will be kept until April the 15th. EuroNGI budged will cover lunches and a Social Event.
Send an extended abstract by May the 15th. The extended abstract should not exceed two pages in conference format (two columns, 12pt fonts). The submission must include the name, complete mailing address, telephone and fax numbers and the email address of the author(s), along with keywords identifying the submission.

Hotel booking after April the 15th
If you find the workshop Hotel fully booked, here http://www.bookings.es you can find a map with the location of the hotels in Sitges. Search for the destination "sitges", choose "sort by: stars [1...5]". Click on the link saying "(Show map)" which appears next to any hotel. Putting the mouse over the "H" in the map, it gives you information, and clicking, you can book. Note that the workshop Hotel (San Sebastian Playa Hotel) is in the street "Passeig de Port Alegre". If you click (Show map) next to "Subur Sercotel", you will find "San Sebastian Playa Hotel" clicking the arrow to the right.

Travel Information
From Barcelona Airport take the train until the station Sants Estació in Barcelona. The trains have a frequency of 30 minutes aprox, and the trip is 20 minutes.
From Sants Estació take the regional train to Sitges (Regional trains are called Cercanías in spanish and Rodalies in Catalan). The trains have a frequency of 30 minutes aprox, and the the trip is about 35 minutes.
The train station in Sitges is 10 minutes walking from the hotel.
