1st International Workshop on Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSN'12)
Welcome to The 1st International Workshop on Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSN'12) to be held in October 8, 2012 in Barcelona in conjunction with the 8th IEEE Wimob Conference. The goal of this workshop is to bring researchers to discuss new advances in the area of visual wireless networks. After many years of research on scalar sensors, the new step is to support reach multimedia data on sensor networks. WMSN demand new innovative techniques at all protocol stack layers. Thus, Authors are invited to submit papers presenting technical challenges, new research, comprehensive in-depth tutorial surveys, position papers, standardization efforts in the context of Wireless Multimedia Sensor (WMSN) Networks. Please refer to the Call For Papers for more details.
WMSN 2012 will take place at Barcelona, at October 8, 2012 and will be part of the 8th IEEE Wimob 2012 conference. The workshop has been promoted by the European NoE EuroNF Specific Project SJRP 53 MWMSN. Barcelona is Spain's second largest city, and the capital of Catalonia. The city is located in the Mediterranean and has a rich history dating back at least 2,000 years when it was a Roman town.
All accepted papers will be published in the WiMob conference proceedings and by the IEEE, and will be accessible via IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
A selection of accepted papers will be invited to produce an extended version to be published in a special issue of IJARAS, the International Journal of Adaptive, Resilient and Autonomic Systems.
